I will definitely miss to travel around the country so easily.
Here in Danmark, the busses and trains system is so great and easy, I almost never have to ask my parents to drive me somewhere, I simply have to ride my bicycle to the closest bus stop, take the bus to the city and from there I can go anywhere by train! Plus, there's a special youth card that gives you discounts on train tickets, so it is not so expensive to travel.
Talk to me about how cool this is!
I really love to travel around and visit the other exchange student in the city where they live. It's really the best thing ever to just write to your friend in the morning and meet after school in another city to walk and talk and eat ice-cream, or shop in second hand store, or just Hygge for a couple of hours.
It is also really easy and cheap to travel by plane in Europe, I've took the plane to Italy for only 300$ (and it was even cheaper 2 weeks before) and I was there in only 2h30 of flight!! That still impress me..
And I can remember, when I was still in Québec I really wanted to take the train some day but it take so long to do a small distance! I once heard that to go from where I live to Montréal (200km) it would take almost 5hrs!! Wuuut!?! When here, from where I live to the furthest point in Danmark I can think of (Skagen, 289km), it only takes 3h15... Gosh I love Danmark!
Oh I almost forgot! The busses are all like travel busses with the comfortable seats <3
And you also usually have two seats for yourself because danes hate to sit beside someone they don't know. The rare times someone sits beside me, it's on the edge of the seat to be sure there is no chance that our coats touch haha, and I saw many time people who rather stay up in the middle of the bus than sit beside someone.. Well!
It feels like a dream I write here about my AFS experience in Denmark, talk about my danish life

For my fifty days left in this country that I love
Så ja, idag har jeg kun 50 dage tilbage i Danmark, og det er ikke meget.
I don't have many pictures of the wedding because I was busy enjoying it, but there is what I have..
I know that many of you wanted to see the two dresses I made for my mom and myself, I don't have really good pictures at the wedding but I have them before ;)
So today I have only 50 days left in Denmark.
I'm pretty confused with the feelings I have about going home. On one hand, I miss my family and my friends and some food and the people and a lot more. But on the other, it is really difficult for me to understand that this life I worked my ass off to build with these amazing people in this country that was once totally unknown to me, well, I will leave it just like that after eleven months. It's a feeling that is really difficult to explain.
But I decided to post 50 times until the day I'm leaving, every time about a different thing that I will miss, that I love or that I think is strange about Denmark :)
Not so long ago was Efterårferie (Autumn holiday) and I've been doing a bunch of cool things like having dinner with my contact person and making spinach soup (it tasted like home), visiting Mary with Maddison in Brande for an international dinner (I made french toasts) and having a night that reflect the whole meaning of the word Hygge, hosting a 'Souper Québécois' for the exchange students of my chapter with a menu of 'Poutine', rice and salad, and 'crêpe de Cabane à sucre' for dessert.
There was also my cousins wedding! HURRA! HURRA! HURRAAAAAAA!
Those pictures were taken while cooking and Hygge after the dinner :)
